Overview

WebEQ is is a Java applet designed to facilitate the inclusion of mathematical notation in web pages. Java is a new programming language being developed by Sun Micro systems for creating programs that run inside web pages. One way of thinking about Java is that it allows web authors to re-program a web browser on the fly, so that the browser has additional capabilities when displaying their pages. The WebEQ applet teaches Netscape 2.x how to interpret the HTML 3.0 math tags and display the corresponding equations.
